danielk Posted February 23, 2015 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Hi tried to google this for a while but havent found a solution yet , still SW files comes as surfaces , that thing make a problem in render \drawing and other issues. Things ive tried so far: -import as: iges, stp, acis, x_t , sldprt, pro-e. -make assembly to part in SW then open SLDPRT - stitch command in inventor -shrinkwrap in inventor (keep as solid body) any new ideas will be appreciated , Thanks ! The surfaces that were exported were either badly created or purposely left out to cause issues in other CAD systems (not an entirely uncommon practice). Your best bet is to model a simple volumetric space claim for these files or to simply use them as is. You won't be able to do any interference checking and your will have to adjust your drawing settings so they come in correctly, but this MFG did a good job of making it hard on anyone that buys their product.
