only faint image of drawing in model space/view port when plotting

Hello Everyone. I really hope someone can help me. I cannot plot anything from my model space. It doesn't matter if it's in a layout and using viewports, or if I try to plot directly from model space. When plotting I get a very faint image, if anything. I know my printer is working because it will plot the title block surrounding the view port, but not the text in it. I have tried changing from monochrome, acad.ctb, greyscale, virtual pen, and none of them create a better image than a very faint picture within my title block. None of my layers are turned off or frozen in the off position. Nor does it matter if I change all the lines to black instead of the different colors of my layers. And I also updated the driver to my printer, they had an updated version of a printer diagnostic which said that my printer is fine. I hope someone else has had this problem, and solved it because I am at my wits end now. Thank you in advance for your time and support

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Is it just one drawing that has this problem? Can you upload it here?

Is it only text that you are plotting? What happens with lines? Can you change the font of the text, does that change anything?

If there are lines, do you have a lineweight setting on the lines?

Does the Plot Preview appear correct?

Do you have Plot with Plot Styles checked in the Plot Dialog Box?

Can you post the .dwg?

Are you using the none.ctb ? Try the monochrome.ctb see if that works and let us know. Should have asked first are you aware plot dialouge has a collapsible right side press >

Your plot preview looks ok, that usually indicates the setting with the plotter or plotter driver.

Do PDFs look good?

Try selecting the Properties button and see if it is setup correctly.

You nominate a HP5600 not sure what that is but check your printer defaults within the control panel you set up Autocad plots any way you like but if operating system settings are for mono thats what you will get.

your visual style will have that affect (colors in preview too) as well. Make sure you are in wireframe if it's 2D.
