jsmit35
Can someone explain to me why I can't make the attached drawing all one piece? Join doesn't work, and it doesn't seem like PEDIT works either unless I just don't know what I'm doing with PEDIT. All the elevations are set to zero as well. I noticed in some previous forums that that was an issue sometimes. This is a problem I have frequently so I'd like to understand what the issue is. join.dwg
ReMark
Perhaps it has something to do with the fact there are 267 overlapping objects. Whoever created it was not paying attention to what they were doing.
jsmit35
customers... I guess it possibly happened if they had to convert to autocad 2d format for us. How were you able to see how many overlapping items there were? Is my only option to redraw or is there a special trick for this?
ReMark
I used the OVERKILL command on the drawing which if I remember correctly is included in AutoCAD LT (just not sure which version it first made an appearance in).
jsmit35
That worked great! Thanks! I'll have to go read up on what the OVERKILL command is actually doing.
ReMark
You should be able to see an explanation of what OVERKILL does in your Help file.
