Stickers on inclined face

Hi everyone

i'm having issues on applying a decal on an inclined surface using inventor

here's a screenshot to let you understand my situation.

Using the decal tool I cant select the surface on where i put the image (the selected one, to let you understand)

Whats wrong it with it? Showing just an image of an unconsumed sketch doesn't help.

 

What error are you receiving? Are you getting an unexpected result? Does this work on a simplified model?

Is the part proprietary? Can you attach it if not or produce a simple example that shows the issue.

 

Also make sure all your Service Packs and Hotfixes are installed.

ok, i definitely see what you mean. What feature has built that face you are trying to attach to?

 

What is your Inventor version? Service Packs and Hotfixes installed?

 

Are you in the Part mode when you are doing this video?

the face i'm trying to use is created using the chamfer.

I'm working on Inventor 2016 and everything is up to date.

Works just find on my system. What is your Inventor build number?

 

Go to About Autodesk Inventor from the little bubble in the upper right.

Then you are not up to date on your updates.

Next time post Inventor version with build number up front instead of having to go back and forth.
