When I mirror a group of solids the new solids are now grouped and ungroupable. If I explode them, all new solids are broken into 2D objects. How do I get the new objects of be individual solids?

Hi RPC,

you have to UNGROUP a group, when you explode a 3d form you will get faces first (..?)

To begin with, Why do feel you should group it before mirroring it?

Not behind AutoCAD now, hans

Apparently a mirrored group cannot be ungrouped. When "Ungroup" is used it asks for the name of the group. There is no name when it's mirrored. I grouped the mirror because it's a complex design and both have's are symmetrical. It just seems there should be away to mirror such a group without the mirrored section becoming one solid. But I suppose I can go through the tedious task of mirroring each minuet piece.

Thanks for your help.

No. The block is like 'box'.. You mirror (or scale) everything in it. Burst of explode will only loose 'the box', not the content. But only exploded it once, if you explode solids you will get faces, explode faces you will get lines, explode lines.. Your computer will.
