CadMonkee
Hi Folks, Just joined right now as I gave up on googling to find a solution since I can't clearly search what I'm trying to do. I have a DWG with multiple blocks that I'm trying to convert if the property table has particular information. By converting block -> I'm trying to associate a symbol to it but I'm unsure how to do this. Any sort of guidance will be appreciated
BIGAL
Are you saying you have a square block with a number in it but now want a round block with same number ?
CyberAngel
Welcome to CAD Tutor! Can you elaborate on your question? I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you want to change multiple blocks into one block (the "symbol")? Do you want to change each appearance of a block into a different entity? Is your "symbol" a piece of text, a drawing element, a block, or something else? What kind of information needs to be in the properties of the original block? TheCADnoob
You can select them using FIND: http://lynn.blogs.com/lynn_allens_blog/2006/11/two_more_weeks_.html Them i would put them on a new layer just so they are easy to select again Then you can replace them using script (assuming it works): http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?48458-Replace-Selected-Block-Or-Blocks-With-Another-Block
