Path to LISP in cui file

Recommended Posts

I have a custom CUI file that loads LISP files from our network drive. I was wondering if I could remove those paths and let the Support File Search Path take it's place. I opened the CUI in a text editor to see what was in it, but didn't do any editing or saving. But I could see that the entire network file path was used in front of the LISP files. Is there a way to eliminate them?

I save all my custom files as .mnu for this exact reason, I would say 99% of my lisps do not have paths as part of the Load using the support path to find them. Did you make the cui inside the CUI editor ? there is a CUI to mnu.lsp you need to copy your.cuix rename .zip and open. Save the cui's there will be a few start with PopMenuRoot.

A typical macro from my custom CUI looks like this:

^P(or C:MergeTextStyles42 (load "MergeTextStyles4.2.lsp"));MergeTextStyles42

If the lisp's command hasn't been defined it loads the lisp first then runs the command.

All my code is in one folder that's in both the Support File Search Path and Trusted Locations. I've never used file paths mostly because they could be different on another PC with a different Windows or AutoCAD version. Makes the macros simpler too.
