Water Line

So, I taught myself how to write a line with the letter "w" for waterline.

I don't like how it looks. the "w" sits between every dash.

Is there a way to bring the "w" in at every other dash, or every third dash?

Thank you8)

*WATER_LINE,WATER line ----W----W----W----W----W----W--

A,.5,-.2,["W",STANDARD,S=.1,R=0.0,X=-0.1,Y=-.05],-.25

When you are dealing with linetype definitions, it helps to have an image in your mind of the old fashioned pen plotters. A positive length is drawn with the pen down on the paper, and a negative length is drawn with the pen up which produces a gap.

So looking at your linetype definition, you need to add "0.5,-0.45" which would produce an extra dash. You could add as many as you liked, and at which end you wanted.

A,.5,-.45,.5,-.2,["W.........]-.25,.5,-.45

I set ltscale, annoscale, and msltscale all to one so the X and Y offsets are true values so I can get them right the first time.

To start and end with a half dash so the lines look the same on both ends.

A,.25,-.2,["W",STANDARD,S=.1,R=0.0,X=-0.1,Y=-.05],-.2,.25

This one has two dashes at each end and three between W's

A,.25,-.2,.5,-.2,["W",STANDARD,S=.1,R=0.0,X=-0.1,Y=-.05],-.2,.5,-.2,.25

The half dash at each end adds one between W's so you cannot do an even number of dashes between W's though.
