Rhino Compatibility with Autocadd

Spot

Recommended Posts

I currently use an older version of autocadd (2004) and am considering purchasing Rhino. I want to see if Rhino is 1) compatible with my older cadd drawings as well as my clients newer dwg files, 2) if I can import aerials (jpg and tiff files) and work with them as far as scaling and rotating in Rhino, and 3) draw polylines to calclulate areas.

Thanks

Why, SketchUp can't open current AutoCAD files. Not a real shocker. Must 3rd party apps are usually not compatible with current AutoCAD versions or not all of them.

Bummer as is no trial period for their software. I think all software should let you test it out.

Not only is the trial period 90 days, which is awesome since most companies only offer a 30 day trial or sometimes even less, but once the trial ends, the program still continues to work. The plug-ins stop working and you can't save your work, but you can continue to learn and play around with the program as long as you want, until you decide to buy.
