Bobzy20
Hi Is there a way to match the view you currently see in Paper Space to Model Space? I have a drawing that has lots of layers that have been frozen in the current viewport and would like to match that view in Model Space. The only way I know of currently, is to try and manually turn off the same layers in Model Space to get the same view. Surely AutoCAD has a special command for this!? Thanks Bob
rkent
Not sure what your goal is, but assuming you just want to work in MS with the same layers off then Maximize the viewport, do your work, minimize the viewport. While in PS you can double click on the edge of the VP, then you can double click on the wide blue border to minimize. There is an icon at the bottom of the screen also for this, along with other methods.
CyberAngel
Seems like we had this discussion before, but I can't find it. Anyway, the mechanism that I'd use is layer states. Once you have a set of layer settings you like, use the Layer States Manager (it's in the Layer Properties Manager) to save that viewport state. You can then move to model space and restore the state. Layers that are frozen in the viewport will become frozen in model space when you restore that state, I tried it myself. The trick here is keeping your layer states straight.
