Join command

Recommended Posts

Will  one of the fine Gurus here explain the difference to me between the PEDIT command and the JOIN command?  I have used the

PEDIT tool to form a polyline, and just recently I hear of the JOIN command.  I cannot get the JOIN command to show up on the

command line in version 2000, but it does so in version 2018. Is this  a more recent tool than version 2000?

Thank you

Gotchy

The JOIN command started in Autocad 2015 I believe. It has some nice features that Pedit > Join doesn't have, like combining line segments that are overlapping or that have gaps. It can also join arc segments and ellipse segments and close circles.

Here's an Explanation

And here's a Video
