tzframpton
Is there a Section Box tool available in AutoCAD 2020? These tools exists in Navisworks and Revit, where you enable a box with six stretchable grips on each face. Works great for slicing a model up level by level. I have an AutoCAD structural steel model from a company that uses Tekla and the building is four levels (Level 1, 2, 3 and Penthouse) and I'd like to make a section of each level to export to Navisworks so we can have one Navis coordination file for each floor, instead of the entire building. It's a lot easier clashing level by level rather than entire project to entire project. Any ideas on this? Thanks in advance. -TZ
SLW210
SECTIONPLANE has an option for that and SLICE also, IIRC.
tzframpton
Thanks SLW. My apologies for not being as clear on my first post - it must also work with a mesh. Section Plane only works with Solids, unfortunately. Tekla outputs are meshes and not solids. -TZ
