Inserting map with correct coordinates

Hello,
Can anyone please help me insert a map into a normal Autocad dwg file (not Autocad MAPS) with the correct coordinates? I don't know the coordinates but I have recieved an ortho map (ecw file) from a contractor and I want to plot it behind my drawing in the exact location and scale.

I would really appreciate it.

If you know that two or three points in the new map correspond to points in the existing map, here's a simple solution. XREF the new map into your drawing. Start the ALIGN command. Pick a point in the new map, then the corresponding point in the existing map. Pick a second pair of points. You can either pick a third pair or use the first two to determine the scale. If you already know the scale of the new map, even better.
