Drape with specific radius

Recommended Posts

I am new to 3D modelling, and need to create a scenario where a rolling sphere covers an area of buildings. Is there a drape command I can use if the sphere has a fixed radius of 45m for example, so I can see the areas that are not protected by the sphere by the areas that are exposed?

Hope that makes sense?

I'm not really sure what you mean, but if you just want to project the radius of the sphere downward, you could create a cylinder with the same 45m radius and snap it to the center of your sphere. Then apply a glass material to the cylinder so you can see through it. This will allow you to see the area that the sphere is covering. If this is not what you're after, you will need to provide more information about what you're trying to do.
