chubarka Posted February 15, 2020 Share Posted February 15, 2020 I have a very difficult time placing text exactly where I want it to either extrude, or extrude cut. onto a planar face. I am in the process of making a clock face, am I missing something. It seems that with t his software things should be able to be placed wherever at will. ILoveMadoka Posted March 10, 2020 Share Posted March 10, 2020 Two options... 1) Just pick (and pick and pick) to move it into position It's just arbitrary, close is close enough. It appears the placement point is Left justified at your pick point 2) Place a line exactly where you want your text (You have to be in the sketch Text Editor) Pick the text and the line and the text will be justified to the line. (You can change the justification) but you can no longer "move" it. Move the line to move the text. cadasio Posted April 4, 2020 Share Posted April 4, 2020 further to @ILoveMadoka correct answer it maybe worth pointing out that you can also use an arc to help you position your text and I would generally make the line (or arc) construction. If you are just extruding it on a planar surface than extrude is fine, if you want it on a curved surface you may want to use the Wrap feature instead as that will emboss/deboss the text normal to the surface giving (generally) more desirable results.
