Wrong Extrusion

Anyone here have a clue as to where this situation comes from?  I have made a single line

sketch with hopes of extruding it as a solid,  this is the result.

I would suggest you have thin feature ticked when you are doing your extrusion - this will occur automatically if you have a gap in your sketch.

 

If you fully define the sketch and/or use check sketch for feature and that may highlight any errors in it.

I suggest drawing it with a continuous Polyline, following the commandline prompts carefully.

For the last segment use the CLOSE option.

Try using the PRESSPULL command and you should be good.

Follow and pay attention to the different commandline options.
