Bob658 Posted January 11, 2021 Share Posted January 11, 2021 I've recorded a simple macro to add text based on the length of an object by using the field option. My issue is I can't stop the macro to allow user input during the field action to allow selection of the object. In the action recorder window, the field action is grayed out and can't be edited. So it always tries to select an object at the location I picked when creating the macro. What I want to be able to do is to select a different object. Hope that makes sense. The macro recorder never really took off because of problems like this, interesting karelcad wrote VBA code for its macro record so end up with something useful.
