attributed text editor without the dialog box

Good Afternoon:

Does anyone one have an attributed text editor without the dialog box popping up?

I used to have a lips that I could type AT and then click on the attributed text. The Attributed text  would look like D text format for editing instead of the Enhanced attribute Editor box popping up. It saved a few steps.

If I'm honest, I didn't see that much of a saving. If you only need to change the text of the attribute, just click on it and the relevant text will be highlighted. Finally, the usual OK in the dialogue box, but you have to press ENTER even if you don't have the window. It is a different case if you need to change the characteristics of the attribute, but then you have to use the advanced editor.

This is the simple way as suggested by Tombu above: -

Try Ctrl+Double-clicking the attribute.

By default settings it should work.

Ctrl+Pick works great for selecting subentities.

Or you could just use the AutoCAD command  ATTIPEDIT

THANK YOU  TOMBU & MANILA WOLF!!!

For me it is a huge time saver. We use add on software that has the enhanced attribute editor Autocad editing popping up way too much for me. this is a huge time saver.

Ctrl+Double-clicking the attribute or

Edit Block Attributes
ATTIPEDIT 4

(defun c:4()
(command "ATTIPEDIT"))
