Best Practices For Handling Data Shortcuts and Revisions.

Morning All.

Have been trying to make use of the data shortcuts and get those into the daily workflow for our team and while i thought i had a good handle on things we moved onto a new revision on one of our projects and it has really thrown a wrench into my plans here.

How can I best archive the previous revision but keep moving on with a new one with out having to redo all the data shortcuts? What is everyone else doing?

I am learning that a concrete file management is 110% essential to using these data shortcuts.
