BIM Procedural Question

Long time AutoCAD user here but just getting my feet wet with Revit 2022. So after watching several tutorials over the weekend I have to now start a set of shop drawings to submit for the project GC/Arch. I have been told that this project will only accept shop drawings from the subcontractors if they are in BIM format. So as I look at the architectural drawings that were prepared for the project I can see that by the numerous and very detailed 3D images in them, this set was most likely prepared using Revit or other BIM compliant software. So my first question on procedures with a BIM project, do I  have to recreate the floor plans, elevations, etc...  or is it typical that these drawings are shared amongst all the subs?

I can't imagine having to recreate all this stuff if it's already been done by others. UPDATE: I was just informed that the EOR on this project has the master model available for download. Once I have that file I'm sure I can get up and running on this puppy.

AutoCAD to Revit - fun times. Hope you have hair left on your head because you're about to pull it out. :)

Kidding. Yes, you're correct, you will not need to recreate anything. You will link the architectural and structural Revit models into your model just like XREF'ing in AutoCAD. Works the exact same way. Keep us posted as you get moving along, we're here to help.
