Trying to create updated line types.

Never created linetypes, and sure if i'm doing it right.

From starting point of creating line types with gaps in text and end points.

First do you need to set the ltscale?

Here is my samples:

1. HOT WATER RETURN AND HOT WATER SUPPLE at end point, there is a gap.

2. LINE SETUP

3. UPDATED LINETYPES

Just wanted to know what I'm doing wrong and if there is an easier why to create new or update line types?

There are several things that one gets to know when making new linetypes.

First of all  make the size to suit the default Ltscale of 1.

All fonts especially TTF are different sizes, so when you take all the trouble to align the spaces for your chosen font (in Standard Text style), someone else decides that a different font would look better so all your carefully aligned linetypes look not so good. To counter this, use a named Text Style. You have probably been trying to amend the given AutoCAD linetypes which were written using the default font of Txt.shp which is a different size.

It would be very helpful if you could post what linetype definitions you have already written and post the drawing in which you drew your linetypes. The posted drawing just has a picture of your wish-list linetypes, that have not yet been defined.
