The AutoCAD Blog

For the Have You Tried this month, we have some great techniques for selecting and deselecting objects.

Window and crossing window are great selection methods in most cases, but for larger, more complex drawings it might be helpful to use other methods like fence or lasso. And after objects are selected, maybe there are some objects you want to exclude from the selection. This Have You Tried will cover filtering and deselecting objects as well.

We’ll go over:

  • Basic window and crossing object selection
  • Fence and lasso object selection
  • Deselecting objects
  • Filtering objects selected using SELECTSIMILAR and QSELECT

Learn how to use the various selection methods to select and deselect objects, with the step-by-step examples in the Have You Tried: Window, Fence, Lasso, and More topic.
