Srđan
I have design made in not civil 3d softwere. All the objects are not recognised in civil 3d. I have situation plan with longitudinal profile and cross-sections made in other softwere. What is the best way to make Road surveying setting out data in civil 3d from this data? BIGAL
It may be easy or extremely complicated, in say CIV3D you can use the strings getting X Y Z of points. Normally you would create a 3d model with all the cross section strings joined. Something I looked at once was standing up the cross sections vertically and aligning at 90 to a alignment it was for a picture nothing more. It would be difficult to read the cross section points and match to a alignment square off. The answer to your first question is redo the road in CIV3D then look at setout options. Or go back to what made the road design and ask for setout files.
