I'm sure this is a basic manuever, but I do not know the procedure. I have two drawings side by side on the monitor, I would like to copy a window's worth of lines from one drawing to the other. I thought I could drag them over but that does not work. Any help? Thanks

Highlight everything you want to copy.

go EDIT > COPY WITH BASE POINT

Select a base point.

Go into the other drawing.

EDIT > PASTE

Place the items where you neeb them.

Actually, in LT 2009 you can drag and drop.

Select the objects and right click--not on an object.

Don't let up when you right click, pause, and drag to the other window.

Drop.

Edit: You do not select copy. Just highlight/select the objects. I suspect that is what reyems found out (below).

I can't get this to work, Lithium. When I select the objects, is it before I select copy? When I right click away from the selected objects do I make any choices or simply drag my mouse over to the second drawing and let go? I have tried a few of these options and am having no luck. Appreciate the help...seems to me drag and drop should work somehow.

Edit > copy with base point > 0,0

Ctrl V > when it promps you for base point 0,0

See if that works, then it should be at the same corrds.
