Colourform Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Hi There, Im using Autocad 2006. I have completed a drawing in Model space of an office layout scale 1-1, using meters. I want to have it emailed to a printing company and printed on A1 paper. I went through the create layout wizard, set printer to none, set the papersize to A1, viewport scale to 1:50 (which should be correct for the drawing), and chose an A1 title block. But for some reason, in paperspace, the drawing is a speck in the middle of the screen and i cant see the title block. I know this has been asked before but i m a bit stuck thanks Leon Quote
PS_Port Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Leon, The title block and paper size is in millimetres, your drawing is in metres, 1000:1 unit difference. Usually if you draw in millimetres it will match the units of the page and titleblock.. But a quick fix for your problem would be to change the viewport scale to correct for metres-millimetres. (try 500:1) Quote
JD Mather Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 A1 title block. But for some reason, in paperspace, the drawing is a speck in the middle of the screen and i cant see the title block. Shouldn't the border/title block be 1:1 scale in paperspace layout? Quote
Colourform Posted March 25, 2009 Author Posted March 25, 2009 Usually if you draw in millimetres it will match the units of the page and titleblock.. Does this mean i should always draw in mm - this could be confusing when using large dimensions. Is there an easier way so that i can draw in meters then print . Should i just adjust the scale by 1000 times to compensate Thanks Quote
PS_Port Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Shouldn't the border/title block be 1:1 scale in paperspace layout? Thats how I would do it JD, I'm only guessing that the Title block is in mm and his drawing is in metres. Another options would be to scale down the title block so that it was 1:1 in metres..then you could draw in metres and scale the viewports as req'd. Quote
