I've set a grid size (96") and toggled the grid button on the bottom of screen and nothing shows up. When I toggle F7, I see the grid off/on reading in the command line but, nothing shows up on screen. What am I missing?

Try zooming in and out and toggle it again - sometimes I find that the grid can be too dense to display :)

No deal, Lee. I tried your suggestion. Also, this is an 8' grid over a site plan. Not easy to miss. I feel like I'm forgetting something really basic but, since I never use grid, I have no idea.

Another odd thing, when I click the Grid button below screen, it doesn't depress but, does change at the command line. Just all weird.

Hmm, that is weird that it doens't depress... as if it can't activate it properly.

Try playing around with the GRIDMODE variable, see if that has any effect

Are Limits set to the necessary coordinates? Is adaptive set to on for the grid? (I think that is the right name, I don't have Acad available right now, moving to 2010, or trying to anyway.

adaptive grid was my first thought but I think it came in on 2008. I am certain it wasn't on 2006. I did forget about limits though.

Try ZOOM > EXTENTS and then try the grid.

And then try ZOOM > ALL, and see if that helps:?

Attach the file here. Don't need any geometry.

Lets put this one to rest.

Something must be toggled off, since I haven't been notified of the continuing replies to my thread. I've just come back to say, limits was the issue. I hadn't set limits and when I did, all was remedied. I guess the grid button won't toggle, when limits is not set. Thanks for all of your thoughts.

I'm not familiar with adaptive and, if it's a moot point with 2006, no need to reply but, if adaptive is available with 2006LT, I'd be interested in knowing what it is.

Thanks,
