Is it possible to use Multileaders for leaders and balloons without having to change the Multileader Style each time to switch between the two? I tried to make a macro but I don't know how to choose which style from the command line. I also found Qleader, but I'm not crazy about how it looks when the text gets moved. I'd like to have one button on a toolbar for leaders and one for balloons, or do you think that is asking for too much?

Thanks for any help,

Deb

Have you tried specifying a block through the command line when running MLEADER? For example"

^c^c_MLEADER;o;c;b;blockname;x;\\

I haven't tested the above macro, but it (or something very close to it) should work.

Wonderful, it works just like I want! That will save a lot of clicks. How nice to have help from someone so close to home, I am near Lancaster.

Thank you,

Deb

Glad to hear it! This place has a pretty strong contingent of PA residents, and not just from Philly or Pittsburgh. What kind of work are you doing down there?

I'm at a metals fabrication shop doing a variety of work, you know, whatever the customer wants at the time. I'm learning Autocad on the job so this website has been like my best friend. I see you do log homes. I have a friend who considered building a log home and told me how easy it is. My guess it's not nearly as easy as it looks.

Use the mleader tool bar or place each type you have on a palette. This will keep styles all looking the same. If a style named bubble is current and you use the macro that mleader will still be that style, which doesn't make sense to me. Later if you edit a style only the ones you expect to change will change. Using the palette you can also set the layer you want them to be on. A macro could do this also, but with the problem of mixed styles I mention above.

BTW, my wife and her family are from Lancaster.

Thanks for your help, I haven't looked into palettes yet but now I'm thinking I'd better. I'll give that a try when I figure it out.
