Autocad LT2008

I recently switched to it ecause that is what i can afford at the moment. I was using 2006 full version before in job.

Can anybody tell me, what should i do to get express tolls in LT.

Also i am having trouble with some simple actions.

1. How to open x-ref file from the file where it is attached. i tried many ways but not working. I have to go thru normal open dialogue box & locate the file myself. It is very fustrating. Also can not change edit the path of the x-ref file.

Express Tools wont work in LT because Lisp routine are not supported.

For the other probelm, from the xref manager you should have the option to open it. If not maybe it's another limitation of LT versions

i know that option and in help manual also it says that but it does not come up when i select file & right click.

Does anyone know anyother method

I also have other problems

It does not give me massage when the x-ref drawings are updated. i have to remember each time to reload it.

Also when i want to edit block, it opend the block object in block editor where i can not see the surrounding objects. WHERE IS option 'edit in place' for block edit in LT

From the link posted by Petri it looks like LT support Express Tools.

Did you installed them (they are in the installation disc of Autocad but maybe needs to be installed separately)

Interestingly, it says it supports Express Tools, but further down it says it does not support LISP & LISP applications

with classic x-ref one problem got solved - i am able to change x-ref path.

but still can not find open option for x-ref file

Previously it was so easy selct & right click & you have all the options.

also need to know how to clip x-ref in LT. THAT OPTION ALSO HAS DISAPPERED. I TRIED TYPING XC BUT NOT WORKING ANY IDEA?

1. NO, there is no button for open option. i know all the possible locations & have tried everything. it also shows in help manual but does not come up on screeen for some reason.

2. tried xclip & ref edit. both commands are not working i will try to find express tools & install it. may be than it will work.

 

Let me know if you find anyother options.
