Optimizing a Streamer's PC Setup for Performance and Quality

I’m in the process of upgrading my PC setup for streaming, and I’m looking for some advice.

 

What are the key components I should prioritize to get the best performance and quality?

 

I’ve heard a lot about the importance of a strong CPU, GPU, and sufficient RAM, but I’m also wondering if certain peripherals (monitors, microphones, webcams, etc.)

 

can have a big impact on the overall streaming experience.

 

Also, any tips on optimizing software or settings to ensure smooth streams would be greatly appreciated!

What are you streaming? Games? Videos? etc.??

 

Windows, MAC, Linux for the OS?

 

You need a compatible and top of the line motherboard that works well with the CPU, GPU, peripherals, etc., this is where most cheap out and waste money and create the bottle neck or are unable to make upgrades down the road.  Also make sure it can support higher internet speeds.

 

CPU you need cores and core speed.

 

GPU I would use Nvidia with NVENC for encoding and NVDEC for decoding, so far it has been better than AMDs version. (Nvidia has worked with OBS  (Open Broadcaster Software))

 

RAM minimum of 32 GB and fast

 

You'll need plenty of USBs 3.0 for speed

 

PCI slots, make sure there is enough to add on later, maybe an internal capture or something.

 

Here is a YouTuber $1000 dollar build, seems solid.
