Interior
how do you cut out from the surface of a 3d extruded shape?
NH3man!
if your just wanting the profile of a certain face of the solid. Copy Face should work just fine.
Interior
sorry i mean so be able to make apertures in the surface so you can see through it.
NH3man!
Draw the window you would like the shape to be with poly line. Extrude that shape and then place it where you would like your window on your existing solid. The subtract the one from the other. su = subtract
NH3man!
Make sure the subtracted solid is extruded height in more than existing.
kencaz
You could also use the "presspull" command. draw your aperture on the surface, and push it through the solid. It will automatically subtract for you. KC

Here is a sample using a curved wall. First draw your apature on the radius of the wall. Then you can rotate or move the object anywhere, pull it out, then subtract.
