Selecting several hot-grips in a quick way

I have alot of questions today, but bear with me.

Now it's about hot-grips, and a way to select several of them using some method that's quicker than pressing each one individually while holding down shift. This works fine when we're talking about a few, but when it exceeds 7-8 it starts to get tedious. Especially if you do it often. Is it possible...?

Reading some other threads about hot grips, it sounds to me that a lot of folks don't use them. For me (and my co-workers) they're priceless. A big time saver.

I agree that it gets tedious to select a bunch of them, and I wish there was some way to do a drag-select of hot-grips within the extant selection set.

Im curious as to why you would need to select so many grips. I have a few ideas as to how you could do it in theory but without knowing why you would need this i could be wrong...
