David Bethel Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Here is a lisp routine ( 1998 ) I wrote, that can join any 2 LINEs, ARCs, PLINEs that have common end points into 1 single 3DPOLYLINE. -David A tutorial on how to load an AutoLISP Routine . . JPLINE.LSP Quote
kduck63 Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Tried the JPLINE lisp and got this message: Entities Contain THICKNESS That Can Not Be Duplicated Continue: : Quote
David Bethel Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 A 3DPOLYLINE cannot have thickness. The program also tries to make color and linetype of the first selection for the entire new entity ( if I remember correctly ) -David Quote

David Bethel Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I don't have 2007 or 2008 to test the program on or to open your dwg and test it. Maybe you could save the dwg in an earlier format. Also the endpoints must be exactly the same. 1e-15 difference will be enough to prevent joining things together. -David Quote

David Bethel Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Thanks SLW ! Arash, The way the lines came in here in A2K, they are LWPOLYLINEs, not true 3DPOLYLINEs. Here is a revised routine that deal deal with the blasted things. Whoever invented LWpolyines should have their ( you fill in the blanks )..... They broke so many off their own rules that it wasn't funny. -David JPLINE.LSP Quote
Arash Posted August 5, 2007 Author Posted August 5, 2007 THANK YOU IT WAS SO COOL CAN I HAVE YOUR EMAIL?\MY EMAIL IS ARASHOOSH@YAHOO.COM Quote
David Bethel Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Arash, If you click on a person's name or avatar, it will bring up their personal profile. If you can see and open the vcard option, their email address is open for the public. I have never used any alias names so looking me up is pretty simple search. If it is a CAD related question, why not post it here. I do take on projects for hire, but the participants here are free of charge. And I am also way out of date on AutoCAD releases. -David Quote
Arash Posted August 5, 2007 Author Posted August 5, 2007 i wanted to have a good professional auto cad friend to help me in my problems.that Im sure he answered my question. Quote
Cad64 Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Arash, we are all good professional autocad friends here. If you limit yourself to just one person, that person may not always have time to help you or he may not know the answer. But when you post a question in the forum, there is always someone here and chances are good that somebody knows the answer. Quote
Arash Posted August 6, 2007 Author Posted August 6, 2007 ok man i change my mind. I'm agree with you. thx again Quote

Can someone share a better way to do it? Thanks for your inputs! Quote
