:? Do you have the program? Have you worked with it? If so, then you should be able to answer your own question. This really sounds like a textbook question to me. :glare:

Thats a broad question,

with plenty of existing material out there to explain that, just google, or try the HELP, if you have the program.

Maybe a more specific question about a particular part, and with a little research on your part, people with gladly answer/help you out.

I understand. I attempted to get an understanding of it through my own research, but I wanted to try my chances in the forum. Thanks for your help! :)

I also realize it is a textbook question, however I dont have the program at my fingertips! :(

Perhaps you should take a trip down to our "Introduce Yourself" area and let us know who you are and what you're all about. These all sounded like homework questions to me, and we don't like it much when students come here trying to get us to do their work for them. I understand, from your other post, that you're trying to get a job and these are interview questions? I still think that if you've used the program you should be able to answer this question yourself, but maybe if you ask more specific questions, as PS_Port suggested, one of our Civil guys can help you out.

I completely understand your points & concerns. I can only say that I assure you I am not a student trying to take advantage of your knowledge. This is actually my first time ever using a forum (honestly)! o:) I am simply a guy trying to learn not just for this interview, but for my own knowledge!

I know your questions have been a bit broad.....I asked our Civil 3D bloke.....and he just shrugged his shoulders.....as much as to say he had no idea what you were after.......sorry......

May I ask to what degree do you need the C3D interface explained? Do you need help using the program or are you (or your employer) considering a purchase and interested in a demo?

I do not need it explained in extreme detail at all. I just need a basic understanding of what it is, & what it does.

It is Autodesk's civil product which is to take over for Land Desktop and Civil Design. It is dynamic in that changes you make in your design will automatically update the 3d model(s). I would recommend you visit the Autodesk website and check out the Civil 3D page where you can learn more about it.

I will definately check that out for further knowledge. Thank you :)
