Hi all,

I have a problem with OSNAP.

I am turning OSNAP on, then when I draw a polyline, the OSNAP turns itself off, with no record in the command bar of it doing this!

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks for any help!
Mark.

PS. Using AutoCAD 2005 MAP3D

Are you sure it's turning off... a polyline will not snap to it's own snap points... it's just the way AutoCAD works, an entity doesn't have snap points until it is properly created... but it should still snap to other entities...

If that's not the problem then does it come back after the pline command?

Hi, no thats not the problem.

It phyically turns itself off, ie, the OSNAP button is turned of.
Hope this makes more sence!

... not heard of this one before but I've not got a 2005 to test it on... can you still use snap points... can you still switch on osnap during the command?

I have to turn on OSNAP (use F3 to do this).

Hmmm... & to throw in even more confusion, in 2006 a pline can snap to itself!

The only thing I can think of is that a lisp rountine has taken over your pline command but that's unlikely. Maybe someone else will come up with something.

i'm having this problem too, it's a pain to have to F3 every dline to set osnap, is there a work around?
