ANDY0871 Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I dont know much about mtext. Is there a way to globally change the spacing between all the lines of text in the drawing? Quote
NuttZ Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 You can change the line space factor in the properties....just slect the mtext and go to properties. There you can change the factor. Quote
Rise Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Similar question as ANDY0871 - Is there anyway to change mtext default settings? Right now, every time I use mtext I need to change every aspect of it over and over. I need to center justify width & height, and change the text size to .12 rather than using the default settings EVERY time I use the command. This is tedious. Can't it just be "set as default" some how? I'm using AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 Quote
JerryG Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Rise, I looked but could not find anything. I typically will just copy mtext around and change the text. You might want to try and post your question as a different thread. Quote
Rise Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I figured as much. I do the same thing, but it's a hassle if you make a table and then try to paste the text box into the exact middle of the cell without setting up points to anchor it to. If copy/pasting text allowed you to move it from the corner of the text box that would be fine, but it's not the case. Thanks anyway! Quote

This one sets the text height to be 0.1 x the dimscale; the justification to middle-center; the line spacing factor to be exactly 0.8. Quote
Rise Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 How do you get to ToolPalette? Edit: found it, and got it, thanks! Quote
JerryG Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Thanks lpseifert I didn't know you could do that with mtext also. Thats why I love this Forum! Quote
jvanabel Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 old post but still applies... thank you!! Quote
