I need to make a male m8 tapped thread on the bottom of a 14dia pin.
What is the best way to do this?

I dont like the fact that you can do a female thread using the hole editor and there is no "easy format" wizard for male threads.

Insert>Annotations>Cosmetic Threads. I suggest going to Customize and pull this out to your toolbar.

Thanks for that post, Ive popped it into my menu.

Am I to understand that this is just, as it describes, for "cosmetic" purposes. When I try to use the call off command in the drawing editor it only displays the diameter and not the metric value.
Do i have to enter this in manually?

:D :D :D :D

I think you have to type in the specification when you create it (I don't recall). Check and see if that is part of the dialog box.

ARRRGGGGHHH. I cant find it.

Ive managed to alter the attributes, when i hover over the thread on the drawing the cursor changes to display the m8 thread text. I will get it!! eventually.
