I have a 3D object that has one face at an angle. I would like to view the object so that a new XY plane is oriented on the sloped face (I know how to do that) and the plane of the face is parallel to the screen. I would be looking at the face from a position normal to the plane of the face.

Make sense?

UCS toolbar, Face option.

Or type UCS at the command line and select the Face option.

Or UCS 3-point option.

Any number of ways.

Thanks, for the suggestion. Perhaps I did not state my question properly. I can get the UCS in line. What I want is to view the face (plane) from directly above. Not from an angle. Does this explanation help?

View>3D Views>Plan View>Current UCS you can save it with a name if you will be returning often.

That was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
