Lost commands?

I seem to have lost some of my commands.When I try to use some common commands I am getting an unknown command response. For example when I right click on an object for the properties, in the command line I get " _properties Unknown command "PROPERTIES". Press F1 for help."

I am using AutoCAD 2004
