russell84 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Hey guys i relly am stumped with this one. I have one computer here at work that isn't working when trying to insert blocks. When simply using the insert command i get a message "block insertion failed" or when i try to use the lisp files to insert a block i get a "function cancelled" block invalid error message is there some variable that has been changed on this one pc that isn't allowing block insertion?? Because the blocks and lisps work on everyone elses pc Quote
GE13579 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Have you tried command line entry INSERT? Not so much a solution as a workaround... Quote
russell84 Posted September 4, 2008 Author Posted September 4, 2008 it isn't working for all 3 ways of inserting these are the functions and the error messages i get when using them. Lisp - *invalid* ;error function cancelled insert - (Alert message) 'Block Insertion Failed' -insert - *Invalid* I'm all most going to resort to uninstalling the acad on that pc and reinstalling. Any more ideas why we are getting those error messages on this one pc?? Is there some variable that doesnt allow block insertion?? Quote
GE13579 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Do you still have the drop down menu Insert- Block, sorry I misunderstood your original post and thought you were using the drop down command. I'm afraid I have no idea unless it's related to a specific block- are you getting the error message when trying to insert the block or when instigating the command? Quote
