Hi,

I need to give myself a crash course in electrical layouts. Can anyone please guide me towards tutorials, BS, etc.

Very grateful in advance...

Do you mean the profession of electical layouting? of how to use CAD in electrical layouting

 The latter I think. The first I presume is the work of an electrical engineer. I'm not exactly sure the extent that a draughtperson would contribute to design layout.

Are you familiar with the specification for the following qualification?

NVQ Level 4 qualification in CAD/Construction

Hows about you tell us :)

what exactly do you need to know? your question is WAYYY too general, and therefore has a number of different answers

Electrical contractors in the construction industry use cad to communicate their planned installations. I need to know as much as possible on the subject. I was hoping there would be some tutorials, and symbols and British standards and many other things that I dont know that I dont know about.

'electrical layouts' has a number of interpretations

there's no point in me digging about for the kind of work I do when it's building services you want

Should I then be asking: Can someone please help me with the issue of CAD use in the installation of electrical building services?

(Thanks for your patience with me so far)

I'll edit your thread title to see if you get some better replies :)
