gste Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 We have an obscure problem with an architectural base file that we recently received. The file comprises of 10 xrefs, there is hardly any linework in this file. File size quoted in Explorer is 616 KB. The xrefs load and display correctly, but when trying to print the drawing five of the 10 xrefs will not show up in the plot. All xrefs are on the "0" layer (personally I'm not a huge friend of that), and all layers are "on" and set to plot. We tried numerous things- created a W-block of the file in case it is corrupt, shortened x-ref names, bound everything into the base file just to see what happens, and nothing helped! Everything displays correctly in MS and PS, but then the same five x-refs will not print, and not show up in the print preview. We found one way to print the five x-refs in question: When unloading a few of the 10 xrefs these ones that wouldn't print before will show up in the print preview and print. (Of course, printing only half of the base is of no use.) Which made me think the file is too heavy, but then again, it really isn't. Has anyone heard of such thing before? Thoughts are much appreciated. Quote
