Can I Change In Acad.dwt FILE Properties And Acadiso.dwt FILE Properties? And If Not How Can I Make My Own File?

Posted

if you want to create your own template, open a new drawing create whatever layers and styles that you need or what ever else you require as standard for your template and then under save as, under file type select dwt instead of a dwg.

I would follow the aforementioned advice rather than edit the original acad.dwt and acadiso.dwt files. If you are going to edit those files then make backup copies of each first.

thanks guys for your help

but if i need my own template be a default when i make any new file how can i make it?

after u have created it, in autocad under options, under files, change the location for drawing templates to the location of your new dwt file. So when you create a new drawing it will load this template in then

To just expand a bit on the previous post you want:

Options > Files > Template Settings > Drawing Template File Location. It is the path you see referenced that should be changed.
