Anyone know why, when using the DIMBREAK command, that depending on the arrow type, a different result is obtained. I would have expected the result in number 2 to be the same as number 1 (see drawing). I used the auto option for the break.

sole... it is actually the behavior of the tick, try these, dim prop> lines> extend beyond ticks.

it is not that closed as you expected but lessen the gap bet. the line and the tick.

Thanks for your reply mugshot. I actually didn't want to extend the extension lines beyond the ticks or make the gap shorter. I was just wondering why the same command works differently just because it's ticks. The break in 2. seems incorrect to me - unless I'm missing something....

try more other dim end tips and you'll end like the arrowhead, that is the reason that every dim end tips has character. hope i have help you.
