clyde6966
Please help!!! I'm trying to import CAD lines into sketchup and they are not all in the same elevation. Some of the lines are xrefd in so i went back and did a change command on the two files changed the elevations to zero but somehow not all the lines get changed. Is there a simple way to get all these in the same elevation...zero. I also copied all the lines in CAD to Illustrator is there a way to go from Illustrator back to cad?? I'm thinking maybe this will help put them all in same elevation.... Anyone??
f700es
1. Some of the lines are xref'ed in? OK, if they are then maybe do a bind and insert this xref so all the lines are in the current DWG. After this maybe do a flatten command or change-Z to get all of the them in the same plane. 2. Yes, you can export from Illustrator to DWG. Hope this helps. boofredlay
Clyde, you can use the drape tool in SketchUp to bring all the lines to the same plane. I have created a small tutorial to show how it is done. Just walk through the page tabs at the top. Hope this helps. Drape.zip
