grain Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Who prefers splines to straight lines in indicating wiring for lighting. My feedback from electricians is that they prefere the dotted straight lines. (I prefere the look of splines. But I dont have to use(read) them) Quote
RobDraw Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 On floor plans I like using arcs and splines where an arc won't work. I find them easier to draw, edit, and read. Quote
wannabe Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I think most of the wiring is determined on site. So a straight line from one point to the next is simplest. this information was gained when I worked designing fire protection and detection systems. Quote

neekcotrack Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Straight lines get it done but dont look as nice as arcs or splines. On Floor plans I use Arcs for concealed wiring, and use straight line for exposed wiring. On diagrams it is straight all the way. When there is a lot of things going on you will be happy you went with straight. Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Dashed Arcs for me for indicating circuit lines of Lighting. then straight filleted lines in linking to switches if necessary Quote
