muck Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Using AutoCAD 2009. Is there a way to get a 2-d drawing form a viewport with a 3-d model in it. I only want what is seen in the viewport. Flatshot command did not work. thank you, Quote
muck Posted November 13, 2008 Author Posted November 13, 2008 Just tryed MVsetup resulting in unknown command. Quote
papagyi Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 You can use "dxb" plotter. You need to add dxb plotter from plotter mananger. Then you can print to file. Then open new drawing and type cmd "dxbin" and select your path for plot file. Quote
muck Posted November 13, 2008 Author Posted November 13, 2008 I don't have a dxb plotter listed in plot manager. Quote
wannabe Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Try adding a system printer. Look at the options you get when doing this. Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 You could just flatshot the 3D model in MS, then set the viewport to show the flatshot object only. you dont really need to show the 3D object right? just a sort of traced over element of it Quote
ReMark Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 The OP says Flatshot, for some reason, did not work. He offered no further explanation. Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Curious,,, we have cad2009 and it works. perhaps muck was using it in PS w/c really wont work. Alas, perhaps a reply from our OP would shed some light on the issue Quote
