Hey Im new to AutoCAD, currently im using Autodesk Inventor, and Making a Car Dashboard. I installed Autodesk VIZ 2008 (Inventor is 2008 also). And i was wondering how do i export to .3DS or .VIZ (from Inventor) to Autodesk VIZ 2008? I want to do some rendering in there to make my projects look nice. Help would be appreciated

Thanks,
Esche93

(P.S: I looked in FILE, but couldn't find the Import/Export buttons)

well that's your thread moved to a section where the readers are likely to be able to help you, and your title changed so anybody with the same problem can read along too

welcome to CADTutor :)

I think this question actually belongs in the Inventor section.

I've never used Inventor, but from what I've read, there is no Export function for 3ds format. You have to purchase and Add-In. See HERE (http://www.sycode.com/products/3ds_export_iv/index.htm) for one possibility.
