nocturne00 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Ok im not sure if this applies to the student version as I can see from the image. but usually this happens on trial versions of CAD when the trial period expires. have you tried reinstalling it yet? Quote
koloiski Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 try typing "MENUBAR" on command bar and set value to "1". hope it'll work. Quote
ReMark Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Maybe you inadvertantly pressed the "Clear screen" button? I think it is in the lower right hand corner. Quote
papagyi Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 try typing "MENUBAR" on command bar and set value to "1". hope it'll work.If not ok, you should "menuload " "acad.cui". Quote
CAD-LOVER0208 Posted November 29, 2008 Author Posted November 29, 2008 I didn't click anything, i just shutdown my laptop and when i came back i couldn't see any menus or toolbars or anything.. i tried to open it and load the menus but it kept telling me that a problem caused the program to close and it may not let it work properly i don't know i kept getting msgs like that. And yes it is the student verson... i NEVR had this problem when i was using my pc before, i hope it's not cuz of my gateway laptop..!!! I just deleted the program and i'm trying to download it again, i'll let you know what will happen .. Quote
CAD-LOVER0208 Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 After trying so manythings, i fixed the problem finally. I downloaded the program again, but it didn't work. So, what i did was, going to my control panel and i repaired the program, but still no menues, so I did as papagyi said, i uploaded the acad.cui (custom one) Now it's working great ! thanks all for helping.. I was really scared cuz i have things due soon, exams are coming up and all that and suddnly i lost everything..! but now PROBLEM SOLVED God bless Quote
ReMark Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I hope you have learned an important lesson here. That is, to never purposely shutdown your computer while you have a program up and running. You can easily corrupt important information and in some cases cause serious harm to a program. Quote
CAD-LOVER0208 Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 oh yeah... i learned my lesson.. thx for always being there. Quote
rednour Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Copying the acad.cui file from a co-worker did the job. Thank you all for your input.... Quote
JD Mather Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 ...And yes it is the student verson... The problem itself has nothing to do with being a student version. Did you register the software to activate license? When the license expires it will tell you. I just deleted the program and i'm trying to download it again, i'll let you know what will happen .. I think you just made yourself more work than necessary. In any case when you downloaded the program before you should have burned the install files to disk. Only takes a few minutes. How long does that download take? When I'm in a hurry I simply close the lid on my computer or click the Vista button to put it to sleep. Leave programs running all the time. Lift the lid and pick up right where I left off (using Vista OS). Quote
