Trim to a point or cursor position

I am returning to Autocad after MANY years and a number of other CAD systems. While trying to reacquaint myself I cannot figure out how to trim a line to a point or cursor position. Thanks.

I've had osnap, snap, etc. on and off - I am only asked for a cutting edge.

Yes, I've resorted to using Break to Trim, a centerline for example, beyond the object line and then deleting the excess. But, that's an extra two steps and does not work to Extend a line. 25 years ago I was able to trim or extend to a cursor position using CADAM and I know that Cadkey (ie KeyCreator) can do it now. No offense, but surely Acad can do this?

There is another way of doing it in ACAD. Once the line is selected, you can pick on the end of the line and simply drag it where you want to put it, similarly extending to any cursor position. Make sure though that you OSNAP is on.

Invoke the Trim command then double tap the Enter key. This will cause every object in the drawing to become a trimming entity. Your results may vary.

Koloiski & ReMark - Thanks for the suggestions - neither worked. (Really) HOWEVER, I found a way that works! With no tool active, click on a line, the blue square handles appear. Click on a handle (no dragging) and click at desired location! Thanks for the brain nudge.

Be sure Ortho is ON for hor and ver lines. For angled lines have Dyn ON and use TAB to input a new length! Awkward, but it works. Thanks again - there'll be a little something extra in your next paycheck.

How about the Lenghthen command using DYN.

Took me a while to first find and then figure out Lenghten. It works too. Why is it hidden in the pull-down and not part of Trim/Extend? Thanks
