AzMandella Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I was wondering if there was any way to automatically enlarge some dimnesions. If I were to draw a 24 x 24 square with a 12" O.D. hole in the center. Is there a way of making the outside .08 larger and the circle .08 smaller? Other than redrawing. Quote
ReMark Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Use the Offset command. Retain the new objects and erase the old ones. Done. Quote
ReMark Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 You could also use the Scale command. Do the math first to calculate the % increase in size. Quote
totzky Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 And for the circle's diameter, you can use the properties dialogue box (ctrl+1). Quote
AzMandella Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 Use the Offset command. Retain the new objects and erase the old ones. Done. But that only let's me offset each part individually. Quote
AzMandella Posted December 1, 2008 Author Posted December 1, 2008 Allright I figured it out. I just have to convert all the object lines to a polyline and then offset. Cool thanx guy's Quote
ReMark Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Where there's a will there's a way. Glad to hear you found the way. Quote
wannabe Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Sounds like you could have used the scale --> reference command as well - particularly useful if you would have needed to keep the items as individuial entities. Look it up if you dont know the comman. A very useful tool to me. Quote
